In the article, "Abortion," Richard Lacayo reports that the Supreme Court was reviewing a Pennysulvania law that give restriction to abortion. Both the issue of abortion and economy will affect the results of voting for election. In Lacayo’s statements, the law in question sets some restriction, such as that people who are not lawful adults need their parents’ agreement, wives should notify husbands, doctors should inform the medical information. At the same time, some congressmen suggest freedom-of choice bill, which keep abortion legal and uniformly available.
It is a tough and controversial issue. However, it can certainly influence the election, for that’s what people really care about. Economy, human rights, freedom of choice, freedom of speech—they are all ubiquitous and inevitable in our life. Therefore, the government should take sufficient time considering, discussing, and debating what would be the best for the public, when they are making a law or judgement.
