In artcle “Behind the Abortion Decline,” it indicates that US makes every efforts to reduce the rate of unintended pregnancies. However, behind the reducing statistics of abortion, there are five reasons for the declining rate of abortion. First, the cities of US such as New York, New Jersey, and so on, are passed the jurisdiction. Second, prevention works to help women avoid having a baby. Third, Demonize the action of abortion. Forth, porvoking the abstinenece. Fifth, the most intriguing one is to take RU-486 instead of the surgery, and it is the crucial reason to reduce the number of the abortion. To sum up, the best solution to solving this problem is to emphasize the sex education and give a better access of contraception.
In my opinion, only when men and women have the correct kowledge about contraception is there a way to reduce effectively the number of accidental pregnanc. Although the above reasons are sure to lower the rate of pregnancy, the most effective solution is that man and woman have a safe sex under the condition of prepared contraception. It is the healthiest and best way to avoid the problem. Therefore, educating people how to have a safe sex is very important. It is not a subject of matter that is shameful to be talked about but a unavoidable part of education to everyone.
